frequencyFM is a commumnity based online radio project founded by Mike Steventon & Arron Jones. With inital funding granted by the Prince's Trust, the station was setup to provide listeners with a variety of electronic music whilst reaching out to fans across the dance music spectrum.

The first build of frequencyFM was completed by another developer using a template based structure. Kascadia Media was brought in to redevelop the stations indentity and form this within a brand new, interactive station website.

With features likes podcasts and listen again, the project build was very ambitious, and also sought to tie in the DJxchange platform - previously designed and developed by James Pidgeon at www.djxchange.co.uk

After 4 months of development, the new frequencyFM was launched in January 2009 with big name DJ support from amongst the scene. However, due to other university commitments from its founders, that station was taken offline a few months later and things have stayed that way since.

The DJxchange element of the site has now moved back to it's previous domain, and is awaiting a re-brand and re-launch, currently planned for summer 2010.
